This Guy Was Conceived At A Rock Festival And He’s Using Facebook To Finally Meet His Dad

As someone who is intimately familiar with festival port-o-potties, I thought people being conceived at rock concerts was one of those things I thought only happened in the minds of TV and movie scriptwriters. My theory was disproven, however, in the form of Jette Collins. The 18-year-old native of Durhamville, New York was conceived at the first K-Rockathon festival in Syracuse in 1996. Now, he’s looking for his dad with the help of Facebook.

Collins posted a photo of himself to Facebook on March 2. In the photo, he’s holding a sign detailing the events that led to his existence. It reads:

“I am looking for a man by the name of Jason that lived in Syracuse, NY in 1996. He went to the first K-Rockathon in 1996 and met a girl named Diana Collins. I am the product of that night. I am not asking for anything. Just would like to meet my biological father.”

He posted the photo with the caption: “I don’t know if this actually works but I’m going to try it, just hoping for the best and a little luck. Help a kid out.”

So far, the post has been shared more than 2,400 times, blanketing the social network with Jette’s photo in the hopes that “Jason from Syracuse” will come forward. Collins hasn’t provided an update yet, but it’s safe to say a fair number of people are waiting to hear that his search was successful.
