LeBron Emerges From The Abyss To Unveil Alma Mater’s New Nike Football Uniforms

The non-stop marketing whirlwind summer for LeBron James continues. The King held an event at his alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary to model the Nike threads he helped fund for the football team. Looks like the part in pads and a helmet, huh? More on that in a second.

The entire event with the smoke and buildup really resembled a college probate (as did the concert the day after “The Decision”) with people already knowing who crossed beforehand, but still go apeshit crazy regardless.

Anywho, here’s a fun fact some are aware of, while some aren’t. Urban Meyer was the new football coach at Bowling Green in 2001. During a conversation with then-new basketball coach Dan Dakich, Meyer casually told Dakich, “I’m just telling you, this is the best high school wide receiver in the country, and he’s a sophomore.”

What’d Bron do his junior year on the field? Only total 61 catches for 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns and earn all-state honors for the second consecutive year. In Ohio, at that. Then, he put football on the shelf, decided to focus on basketball and, well, the rest isn’t too hard to figure out.
