Lucky Lady Unearths A Nearly Four-Carat Diamond In An Arkansas State Park

Susie Clark took her mother and grandmother to Arkansas’s Crater of Diamonds State Park 33 years ago, but walked away empty handed. However, her prayers were literally answered with the discovery of a whopping 3.69-carat diamond during a more recent trip.

According to TIME, before Clark’s finding last week, she addressed the powers that be in prayer, “Are you going to bless me and let me find a diamond today?” As a result, she now calls her precious pinto bean-sized rock the “Hallelujah Diamond” and intends on keeping it.

The park — the only diamond-producing space in the world that’s open to the public — has yielded about 75,000 diamonds since it was first founded in 1906. Park Interpreter Waymon Cox told TIME heavy rains this past month worked in Clark’s favor.

Excuse me while I book a red-eye flight down to Murfreesboro, Arkansas.
