Margaret Cho Lost It On Stage And Went After Hecklers As The Audience Walked Out

Stand-up comedian and North Korean impersonator Margaret Cho upped her photo bomb factor a bit during a stand-up comedy set in New Jersey. Or at least that’s how it looks in a blurry, mostly bleeped-out video obtained by TMZ over the weekend.

According to reports, Cho’s Saturday night set in New Brunswick took a turn when the comedian began discussing rape while on stage. No subject is necessarily taboo for stand-up comedy, of course, but it seems Cho also made several “gay jokes” that inspired a fight between two men in the audience. That’s when the crowd really turned against her, heckling her about her bringing up rape on Easter weekend and wanting their money back. Cho chided the crowd for asking for refunds.

“You will never get a cent of the money back that you paid,” she’s heard saying. The video then cuts to other shots of several people confronting Cho on stage. One blonde woman even tried to take the microphone from Cho and say something, according to the footage. None of what preceded the initial incident, nor the details of what hecklers said has been verified, but TMZ claims the comedian also spent some of her set railing against the white people in the audience, perhaps agitating an already raucous crowd.
