Few of life’s pleasures are as simple as a beer in the shower after a long day of work. For anyone who’s never had a shower beer, all I can say is, boy, are you ever missing out. (Or for those non-drinkers, I will also accept “shower LaCroix Sparkling Water.”) Notoriously down-to-earth Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie knows how amazing a shower beer can be. Previously seen as a fan of the champagne bath (also a delightful end of the day treat), Robbie recently discussed her daily routine with Harper’s Bazaar, revealing how a shower beer is her trick to a good night’s sleep.
“I like to have a beer shower — a nice beer in the shower,” the Suicide Squad star, 26, explained. “When I did Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, I was saying, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t wait to go home,’ and Tina Fey’s costume lady was like, ‘Me too. I can’t wait to go home and have a beer shower.’ I was like, ‘What’s a beer shower?’ She said she drinks an ice-cold beer in a boiling-hot bath or shower, and it made her sleep. I was like, ‘That sounds perfect!’ So now when I get home from work, I have a beer shower or a beer bath if I have time.”
So if you’ve been holding on combining cleanliness and booze, consider this permission to yourself because Margot Robbie says it’s A-OK.
