Master P Ft. Rick Ross, T-Pain & Bay Bay – “HNIC”

Master P’s going to get you coming or going. Oh, so you weren’t a fan of his Louie V Mob collaboration with the young boys Alley Boy and Fat Trel? Well, how about when he flips the script from ratchet to riches by bringing in Rozay and T-Pain for “HNIC,” a track off his Boss Of Bosses LP?

Yes, Percy’s making his way back to rap – and judging by the song’s artwork, he’s going back to his comically garish ways. If you can get past the cover, the song’s not that bad, it’s just late in terms of style. The sound, the weak similes, etc. nothing about “HNIC” will motivate repeat plays or increase anticipation for Boss Of All Bosses. Come to think of it, didn’t Cam’ron already use that album title? And Slim Thug, too? And probably some other local yokel rapper none of us have heard of?

Dah well. This shit just needs more of the old No Limit tank dogs. Or maybe just more Silkk. Otherwise, “HNIC” sounds like so many other songs already suffocating the airwaves.
