Meast And Least for Week 16

The Sean Taylor Memorial Meast for Week 16 is Russell Okung, who kept Aldon Smith, who had 19.5 sacks coming into Sunday night’s game, from registering any sacks or quarterback hurries on Russell Wilson. Since Aldon Smith pledged earlier this month that for each sack he’s going to donate $5,099 to Bay Area Boys & Girls Clubs, it’s clear that Okung just hates children. Whatever works for motivation, I suppose.

The Jeff George Memorial Least for Week 16 is Ben Roethlisberger, who had two critical interceptions in a season-killing loss to the Bengals in Pittsburgh. The first of which was a pick-six to give Cincinnati the lead early in the game. The latter was an intercepted overthrow in the final minute of a tie game that turned what might have been a winning Steelers drive into yet another chance for the Bengals to close the game out. After squandering a chance minutes earlier, Cincinnati finally decided they actually wanted to win. Roethlisberger has had a decent statistical season, but three of Pittsburgh’s losses (at Denver, at Dallas, vs Cincinnati) happened largely because of critical late interceptions by THE BEN. Two of those happened in consecutive weeks with the season on the line. That’s plenty leasty.
