In continuing with his energized and welcome return to the realm of rapping music, Mos Def’s been hitting the television circuit as he performed “Quiet Dog” on The David Letterman Show and  “Casa Bey” from his upcoming The Ecstatic on Tuesday night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, backed by The Roots.

Not surprisingly, the live band transition made for a slick expanded instrumental with the added bonus of Black Thought’s underrated accentual singing.

Mos rocked the delivery too, impressively ad-libbing while singing and hitting every flow transition with impeccable timing. Hit the break for the footage.
