As promised last week, the gang at Inside The NBA revealed the reserves for next month’s All Star Game in New Orleans.

Eastern Conference

BC: John Wall (Washington Wizards)
BC: Joe Johnson (Brooklyn Nets)
BC: DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors)
FC: Roy Hibbert (Indiana Pacers)
FC: Joakim Noah (Chicago Bulls)
FC: Paul Millsap (Atlanta Hawks)
FC: Chris Bosh (Miami Heat)

Western Conference

BC: Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers)
BC: Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers)
BC: Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs)
BC: James Harden (Houston Rockets)
FC: LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland Trail Blazers)
FC: Dwight Howard (Houston Rockets)
FC: Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks)

Putting one and one together leads me to believe either DeMarcus Cousins or Anthony Davis will take the roster spot expected to be relinquished by Kobe Bryant who’ll miss three more weeks with knee swelling. And one has to believe Davis has the inside track given the game’s location. That’s great given The Brow is one of my favorite young players in the L, but I feel as if I have failed Boogie and all faithful supporters of the #GetBoogieCousinsToTheAllStarGame movement. We will not take no for an answer next year.

Nevertheless, one more thought before the floor opens for discussion. Joe Johnson was named to his seventh All Star Game. Know who that puts him ahead of? Dennis Rodman (2), Bill Walton (2), Larry Johnson (2), Mark Aguirre (3), Rasheed Wallace (4), David Thompson (4), Michael Ray Richardson (4, drugs), Earl Monroe (4), Bernard King (4, injuries), Connie Hawkins (4), Chris Webber (5), Sidney Moncrief (5), Mitch Richmond (6), Shawn Kemp (6), Walter Davis (6) and Joe Dumars (6). Seven ties him with: James Worthy, JoJo White, Alonzo Mourning, Jack Sickma, Scottie Pippen, Kevin McHale, Walt Frazier and Dave Cowens.
