“The most important Hip-Hop radio station in the world” will now take their invasion from radio to TV. The cast of Miss Info, Peter Rosenberg, Angie Martinez, Ebro, Cipha Sounds, Funkmaster Flex and Laura Stylez will now be featured on the new reality series, This Is Hot 97, airing on VH1. Per VH1:

“Radio station HOT 97 WQHT is teaming up with VH1 to take viewers on a behind-the-scenes look into the Big Apple’s go-to destination for Hip Hop and R&B with the debut of ‘This Is HOT 97’…a 30-minute unscripted series that gives viewers a comedic look inside this iconic radio brand. HOT 97 is home to a crew of outrageous and fun personalities in the music industry. The series will also feature cameos from the well-known celebrities who regularly visit HOT 97 as on-air guests including Kanye West, Macklemore, Rick Ross, Mack Wilds, Wale and many more.”

As Info pointed out, the show’s producers are Ian Gelfand and Mona Scott-Young, the same folks behind the godawful Love and Hip Hop. The trailer shows harmless hijinks but we won’t know the full scope until the This Is Hot 97 premieres Monday, March 31st at 10:30/9:30c on VH1.

Either way, the show’s a good come-up for one of the best radio teams in the business.
