At the tail end of the 1990s, Brandy and Monica recorded one of the most popular catfights in history — the multi-platinum “The Boy Is Mine.” Now that they’re older, wiser and done fighting over Mekhi Phifer, they’ve decided to pick up where they left off and update the references of voicemails to Facebook on “It All Belongs To Me.” It’s a stellar ballad and a suitable anthem for all the female cliques across the world acting as frenemies.

If the semi-sappy “Boo Thang” was a bit much for your Hip-Hop heart to bear, Verse Simmonds has orchestrated a revamped version boosted by two of the south’s hottest names in 2 Chainzzzz and Yo Gotttttti! Miss Kelly Rowland’s complementing harmony is still present but the two aforementioned crunksters prove they have no problem thuggin’ on a R&B ditty.

Clinton Sparks has more allegiance to pop than Hip-Hop these days but his appeal still holds up on the edge of partygoers glory. The slow-brooding “Bloody Mary” from the Annie Lennox apocalypse, Lady Gaga, gets the disco treatment and it should prove useful if you plan on attending a rave in church anytime soon.

Break out those strobe lights and double pleated bell bottoms. Spree Wilson is channeling his inner 3 Stacks with The Spark, a new project that’ll likely put some pep in your sound system. On the initial offering, the southern composer is shooting for the sky and snatching Halley’s Comet down to the dance floor. The funk is definitely strong with this one.
