Curren$y Feat. Wiz Khalifa & Big K.R.I.T. – “Jet Life”

Before The Stoned Immaculate hits stores next week, Curren$y gives his Jets one they’ve waited a while to hear. The appropriately titled “Jet Life” features production by Big K.R.I.T., who also fills in the chorus, and a verse from TGOD general Wiz Khalifa. Maybe we can consider “Jet Life” a precursor of what to expect from Wiz and Spitta’s upcoming mixtape and, if so, the prospects look positive. While neither needs a joint project at this point, the musical drawing power between the two is always amazing and Wiz’s voice just seem more familiar and at ease when juxtaposed alongside Curren$y’s, even though he puts a bit of emphasis in his words to remind listeners that he didn’t magically hop, skip and jump to pop success (“n*ggas wanna talk about luck, what about timing?”).

I’ve had Stoned Immaculate for three weeks, but haven’t listened to it once. The lack of plays don’t come from a lack of trying. The label sent a watermarked, highly-protected disc that refuses to play in any device I own. Honestly, I haven’t even been frustrated enough by the situation to make mention of it. I’d rather wait and make the trip to Best Buy, as I do with each and every album Spitta releases.

If you’d rather save the gas money (to probably buy weed), iTunes awaits your pre-order. “Jet Life” is up for purchase too. Snag that.
