‘The New Yorker’ Published An Alan Rickman Tribute Cartoon That Will Put A Lump In Your Throat

We lost one of the greats this week when Alan Rickman died on Thursday, and fans, friends, and colleagues have all been saying goodbye to the beloved actor in their own ways. Everyone from Kevin Smith and J.K. Rowling, to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have been posting tributes to the late actor. Even the actor’s Harry Potter fans have been doing their part.

Now The New Yorker has posted a very special tribute in the form of this sweet and heartbreakingly funny cartoon, to remind everyone that Rickman’s loss can be felt even by the fictional film protagonists he faced on screen.

It’s a nice thought that somewhere out there, John McClane and Harry Potter are sharing a cold one over the actor’s passing. He will be missed.
