It Did Not Go Well For This New Zealand Model Who Tried To Down 100 McDonald’s Cheeseburgers

Nela Zisser is a 23-year-old model and 2013 Miss Earth New Zealand winner, but she is best known for competitive eating — two things which normally do not go hand-in-hand. Zisser has built up quite the following on Facebook and on her YouTube account which documents all her various competitive eating exploits, where we previously saw the young model absolutely house a 2-pound burrito in just over 90 seconds.

In one of her latest challenges, Zisser attempts to eat 100 McDonald’s burgers to defeat Japanese competitive eater Yuka Kinoshita, who currently holds the record at 62 burgers. She procured 50 chicken burgers and 50 cheese burgers with “different sauces on all of them” to combat the flavor fatigue. Unfortunately for Zisser, it wasn’t enough, because while her talents are certainly impressive, she tapped out at 45 burgers over a time span of about two hours — falling nearly 20 burgers short of beating her rival.

In the end, she says that “the taste just got to her” and that she doesn’t think she could do another one. Still, 45 burgers is definitely nothing to sniff at. Not many people can claim to be both a model and a competitive eater, so props to Zisser for living her best life.
