Nicki Minaj called in DJ Semtex’s show on BBC Radio 1Xtra to talk a little about The Pinkprint. In doing so Nicki pretty much hyped the shit out of the album by comparing it to Jay Z’s 5-cig classic, The Blueprint.

According to Onika, fans can expect for Pink to be the blueprint for female rappers to come.

“This album is called The Pinkprint. It’s just like…of course I named it The Pinkprint. Of course Jay had his Blueprint albums. And that’s how I feel like this album’s gonna be. I really feel like this album will be like a like a blueprint for female rappers to come. So that alone should tell you how confident I am about the music.

“This album is more confident and it’s more focused, I think. I think the second album lacked a little focus. I think the first album was very focused and very raw and just real. I think the third album is back to being raw and real. I’m addressing things I’ve never addressed before on the third album which is another thing I think my fans are gonna love.

“To be honest, I can say all that stuff, but, at the end of the day, it’s just great music. It’s really no other way for me to describe The Pinkprint but to say it’s just great music. It makes you fee like you’re in a zone. It’s not going to be comparable to any other album. Whether it’s my album or anybody else’s album. It’s just not gonna be comparable. It’s in its own lane and it just feels good.”
