Nike Air Mission Black-True Royal

“That’s Junior Seau’s footprint, man!”

Almost every old Nike shoe was attached to an athlete, which reiterates what I mentioned yesterday. If it was a popular model, having a player highlighting it on their respective field or in ad campaign was a must. A couple of the Trainers were known as “those Bo Jacksons.” Then there were “those Dan Marinos,” “those Brett Favres,” “those Barry Sanders,” so on and so forth. Known as “those Junior Seaus,” the Air Mission model is getting the revival treatment by Nike for 2014.

This turf trainer was a big deal nearly 20 years ago when it first released. Part of the drive was because of the late Seau’s beast-like domination on the field and Nike’s marketing that featured him, while the rest can be attributed to the fact the Air Mission came in a wide array of colors. The white-true royal colorway is already on shelves while the black-true royal and white-fire red versions should be following very shortly.
