Nike Will Be Rewarding Exercise At SXSW

Next week at SXSW, Nike plans on rewarding select concertgoers in Austin. In an effort to promote the Nike+ FuelBand, the iconic brand has partnered with VEVO to host several shows at the festival and entry will be determined by who racks up the most ‘fuel points.’ It’s a pretty nifty concept because the FuelBand is an LED bracelet that gives you points depending on how much you exercise (walking, running, biking, dancing etc…), and users who hit 6,453 points will be getting priority admission into all of Nike’s events.

So, SXSW attendees, if you want to see the likes of Girl Talk, Machine Gun Kelly, Duck Sauce, Nas, and the Sleigh Bells, best ditch the cabs and start dusting off those running shoes. The hotel might be a couple miles away and you you’ll likely be nice and sweaty by the time doors open, but hey, it’s all worth it once Nasir starts rapping “Thief’s Theme” right?
