‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Collects A New Castmember In Ophelia Lovibond

English actor Ophelia Lovibond (Mr. Popper’s Penguins, No Strings Attached) is the newest addition to the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, says THR. The original version of their article also said who she’s playing, but they removed that either because it was wrong or because it wasn’t supposed to be released yet. Luckily, Joblo snagged THR’s quote before it was pulled.

“Details of Lovibond’s role are scarce but it is known that she will play an aide to a near-immortal being called The Collector, who gathers artifacts and beings in the hopes of saving them from a foretold galactic annihilation.”

No word on if the The Collector will show up in the film, gathering artifacts to keep them away from Thanos. We’re guessing Lovibond might be playing Carina Walters, who both aided The Collector and is also his daughter.

Lovibond joins a cast which includes Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Michael Rooker as Yondu, and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer.

Director James Gunn still needs to cast the roles of Groot (a tree man) and Rocket Raccoon (a genetically-engineered talking raccoon who is an explosives expert). As previously mentioned, we’ve found the perfect Rocket Raccoon.
