Watch A Passenger Who Missed His Flight Literally Chase His Plane Down The Dang Tarmac

So you missed your flight. What are you going to do about it? Try to book another flight? Throw a temper tantrum in the airport and insult a bystander’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt, Vanilla Ice? Well, this man who missed his flight at the Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport had another strategy. After somehow getting past airport employees, the passenger darted down the jet bridge only to find that his plane had left the gate.

But that didn’t stop him. Oh no, not by a long shot. After a moment’s hesitation, the man dangles his legs off the side of the jet bridge before leaping off, luggage in hand, chasing after the plane while trying to flag it down. What the heck was this dude’s end game here? Did he think the pilot, obviously in admiration of his moxie, would roll down the inflatable slide and welcome him aboard, with an upgrade to first class and complimentary glass of champagne?

Video of the whole thing was captured by ground crew and uploaded to the CC.OO. Ryanair & Lesma Handling Facebook page, which writes (loosely translated):

This is how passengers in Madrid behave when they don’t arrive in time for their flights. This particular passenger was missing a Ryanair’s flight and, unbelievably, skipped several security protocols established by AENA in their airports. We’re talking about level 4 security protocols! Not even with all those protocols we can feel safe…

It’s unclear what repercussions homeboy is facing after his little adventure, but it’s highly likely he’s not going to be flying anywhere, anytime soon.
