Three of the five boroughs of New York, Queens, Staten Island, and Brooklyn stood together for a quick photo-op sometime circa the early ’90s. Individually, each would go on to attain considerable success very different ways.

AZ held the underground down for almost a decade, consistently putting out years of uncompromising music, and turning a cold shoulder to the mainstream. Raekwon found his way with Wu-Tang, and then on the solo tip, dropping an arguable classic in Cuban Linx, and eventually an arguably classic follow up in Cuban Linx II. And of course Nas put himself in the Mount Rushmore of Hip-Hop through what is perhaps the single greatest album Hip-Hop may ever see.
