We’ve got this weeks’ comics, and, as usual, there’s some interesting stuff and some pretty unusual stuff:
- DC has a Bill Willingham retrospective coming out. We wonder if it’ll include all that Dungeons and Dragons art he did as a teenager?
- Also of interest, the superb “Animal Man”. Of absolutely no interest: “Scooby-Doo Where Are You” number sixteen. What, was Archie Comics too busy to take this gig on?
- Marvel gives Deadpool a Christmas special, and appears to be relaunching the Defenders again. What, the last time that book tanked wasn’t enough for you, Marvel?”
- The Ultimate line also gets some “must-haves”, which we’re assuming are reprints of the best work. So why does “The Ultimates” get one?
- The new issue of “Chew” hits the stands from Image, in addition to a new issue of “Spawn”, which…wow…that’s still in print?
- And finally, as part of a pretty surprising media push, Dynamite is rolling out a new “Voltron” comic. Seriously, what’s with all the Voltron? Sony is pushing the Voltron downloadable game pretty hard as well.
