Rachel Bilson Spits Luke Warm Fire For Funny Or Die

OK, I’m going to shoot you straight here. This is not good. I just want to put that out there so those of you who only read the first line or two of text in no way think I found this easy to listen to. But that’s the point. Over a year ago FOD released their “Rachel Bilson’s Deleted Sex Scene” exclusive — which is not-at-all funny despite co-starring Adam Scott — and it has done 17MM+ views and counting. I don’t have access to their analytics or anything but I’m going to assume it’s fop five all time thanks to SEO alone.

So I’m fascinated by this newly released exclusive, “Call Me Doctor,” where Rachel Bilson does a homeless man’s version of Natalie Portman’s SNL masterpiece, rapping a mini bio of herself with an ironically hardcore slant. The outward motivation is to promote her CW show that I didn’t even know existed (congrats on the work!), but I’m almost certain this whole thing is actually a social web experiment by FOD to see how well even the laziest “exclusive” will perform just because dorks like myself harbor an undying nostalgic love for Summer Roberts and will watch anything with her in it that doesn’t require more than a five minute investment. I fell for it, and now I’m posting it under a web culture premise to make myself feel better.

You win, FOD. Next time I suggest pushing the envelope even further by dressing Christopher Mintz-Plasse up in a Wonder Woman costume and putting Bilson’s name in the title. Will do at least five mil views, easy.
