We’ve had trailers and videos out the wazoo for “Arkham City”. Seriously. Gameplay videos, trailers, villain introductions, IGN ruining basement dweller’s fun by revealing Harley Quinn was played by a guy…this is one exceptionally well-documented video game, even by the standards of modern gaming, wherein every AAA title has some pretentious “making-of” documentary even if the game itself is crap.
Fortunately, “Arkham City” looks incredibly entertaining, especially since they’ve crammed in just about every reference you can think of. Calendar Man is showing up, for Pete’s sake. Calendar Man, a villain so lame that not even rebooting him as a Hannibal Lecter knockoff could make him interesting (go back and read “The Long Halloween” again; Jeph Loeb wasn’t even subtle about it).
