The Rio Olympics Provided Plenty Of Opportunities For News Bloopers

With the 2016 Rio Olympic games behind us, now is a good time to reflect back on all of the amazing things that have happened over the course of the past few weeks. And by “amazing things,” I mean of course not the incredible feats of athleticism, but the mishaps that occur when reporters and camera crews from nearly every country in the world descend upon a single location for live coverage.

Thanks to News Be Funny (which previously brought us the best Olympic news bloopers of all time), we can now see all of the best news bloopers from the Rio Olympics in one 11 minute supercut, featuring that Chinese swimmer who gave TMI talking about her period after a poor swim, that other Chinese swimmer who was super excited after her win, a BBC presenter whose report was interrupted by people boinking behind him on the beach, and poor Michael Phelps getting harassed at the airport after returning to the United States, as well as the usual photo bombs and distractions.

Well, it’s been real, Rio. See you all again at the Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea in 2018. Or as they should be marketing it: Hey, at least it’s not Sochi!
