Rob Lowe stopped by Letterman on Tuesday night to promote his made-for-TV film adaptation of Killing Kennedy and, more importantly, finally reveal the real reason our beloved Chris Traeger is leaving Pawnee.
The sad news that Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins!) will depart Parks and Recreation after this season’s 13th episode — which, at this rate, might air some time in 2015 — leaked in late July. Producer extraordinaire Michael Schur did some quick damage control at the time, saying their characters had simply exhausted their usefulness. But the truth, Lowe jokes, is it all came down to Amy Poehler’s famously terrible attitude.
