Rudy Giuliani knows exactly what Barack Obama needs to do: be more like Bill Cosby! Everyone loves that guy! Right? I’ve been in a coma for the last year.
Specifically, Giuliani thinks the President needs to speak to black Americans like Bill Cosby used to. You know, like telling them to pull their pants up, speak English and lamenting names “like Shaniqua, Shaligua, Mohammed and all that crap.” Universally well-received things like that.
Giuliani made these comments on AM970 radio when asked about recent events, including the recent shooting of two Ferguson police officers and a fight that took place in a Brooklyn McDonalds. Giuliani blamed the President for these events thanks to his ignoring crimes committed by African-Americans and his anti-police tone.
It all starts at the top. It’s the tone that’s set by the President,” Giuliani said.
He added he just returned from a multi-city trip overseas and the United States is constantly derided there as a “racist state.”
“It is the obligation of the President to explain … that our police are the best in the world,” said Giuliani.
He also said Obama should have used his “bully pulpit” to stop protests in Ferguson over the summer, but didn’t.
Obama is also not addressing the “enormous amount of crime” that’s being committed by African-Americans due to “historical” reasons, Giuliani said.
“I hate to mention it because of what happened afterwards, but (he should be saying) the kinds of stuff Bill Cosby used to say,” said Giuliani.
Maybe he’s just talking extolling the virtues of JELL-O? It’s probably that.
