You may have noticed at some point during President Obama’s 2015 State of the Union address that Supreme Court Justice (and personal hero to Leslie Knope) Ruth Bader Ginsburg — or the Notorious R.B.G., as she likes to be called — went “night night” for a bit. This wasn’t the first time, as she’s admitted to “very good California wine” being her downfall prior to previous years’ State of the Unions.

Well, this year was no different. During a talk last night, R.B.G. once again pointed to wine as the culprit for her snoozies, via The Hill:

“The audience for the most part is awake, because they’re bobbing up and down, and we sit there, stone-faced, sober judges. But we’re not, at least I wasn’t, 100 percent sober,” Ginsburg said during a talk at George Washington University on Thursday night, according to a report by The Blaze.

“Because before we went to the State of the Union, Justice Kennedy brought in … it was an Opus something or other, very fine California wine, and I vowed this year, just sparkling water, stay away from the wine, but in the end, the dinner was so delicious, it needed wine,” Ginsburg said.

Hells yeah, woman — I am right there with you. Wine has likewise been the reason for many a night I’ve snoozed off in the middle of a binge-watch, but on the other hand, sparkling water is bullsh*t. #YOLO, Justice Ginsburg.
