After a Saints three-and-out and a Seahawks opening possession field goal, Drew Brees was hit from behind by Cliff Avril as he was throwing the ball. It was caught by Michael Bennett and returned for a touchdown. It looked like it could have been called ruled either a fumble or an interception but it was ruled a fumble because Breesus is a friend of the scorekeepers.

60 yard pass to an uncovered Zach Miller. Two plays later, it was Miller again catching a two-yard touchdown to make it 17-0 Seahawks before the first quarter.

Saints finally put together a 13-play, 80-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham. Richard Sherman was flagged a few plays earlier for a personal foul for knocking Kenny Stills out of the back of the end zone far away from the play.

Just as it looked momentum might have shifted, Russell Wilson hit Doug Baldwin on a 52-yard pass to set up another field goal. So far, Rob Ryan’s strategy of sending the house on half the plays needs to be rethinked. Even when the Saints get a little pressure on Wilson, he’s been able to scramble outside and set up a good throw.

The Saints were left with more than three minutes in the half to mount one scoring drive that might have got them back in the game going into the half. It went nowhere and, though the Seahawks started backed up in their own end, went the length of the field, adding a Baldwin touchdown to make a it a fairly prohibitive 27-7 Seattle lead going into half.
