Scientists Plan Mission To Probe Uranus

Important headline of the day.

The Christian Science Monitor would like to inform (warn?) you that scientists are planning to probe Uranus.  They’ve gone so far as to declare it a mission, which seems a bit much.  I’ve heard Uranus is very easy to get to.  Just what I heard.

NASA and the European Space Agency are planning to team up — double-teaming, you might call it — to get a closer look at Uranus.  They say close-up pictures haven’t been taken of Uranus in 25 years. Do you remember when that happened?  They plan to study the rings around Uranus and figure out why Uranus gives off so little heat. That is a mystery.

The Uranus Pathfinder project is currently backed by more than 160 enthusiastic scientists, the leader of whom is Dr. Chris Arridge, who has said in an interview: “We’ve only really scratched the surface of Uranus.”

It is interesting to note Uranus has the most powerful winds in the solar system and Uranus is tilted to its side.  Experts believe Uranus became tilted after it was pounded by something huge.  Yes, I am 12 years old.

The Christian Science Monitor has unfortunately reacted to all the attention their headline’s been getting by changing the title to “Scientists plan Uranus probe“.  Fine, CSM, toy with my emotions, but the other headline was there.  I seen it.
