Sen. James Inhofe Claims His Gay Friends Are Upset With The SCOTUS Decision

In an interview with Tulsa’s KOTV, Republican Senator James Inhofe offered an unsurprisingly negative reaction to the Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex marriage. Inhofe let his fellow Oklahomans know that he’s certainly upset about the ruling, but it’s not just him. He says his gay friends are upset about it, too.

Specifically, Inhofe said: “I’ve been disappointed, and I was not surprised. I thought they would rule the way they did. I know a lot of people, actually a lot of people who are friends of mine in the gay community, who also think it was a bad decision.”

Inhofe didn’t elaborate as to why his gay friends believe same sex-marriage is “a bad decision.” This shouldn’t surprise us. Inhofe’s not big on explanations. This is the same guy who brought a snowball to the Senate floor to disprove climate change.
