Things Got Unexpectedly Wonderful When This Swedish Sign Language Expert Started Moving His Hips

Maybe it’s the purple bow-tie? The fierce conviction in which this man tears into the language of signs? The way he uses his eyes and hips as effectively as the rest of his body? The interpretive dance that accompanies the melodic flailing of his arms and fingers as they dance on your happiness track? Whatever it is, it is epic.

Magnus Carlsson, a Swedish pop singer, performed one of his tracks at this year’s Eurovision contest (basically, a version of American Idol, but on an international stage), and it wasn’t Carlsson who damn near stopped the show, but the man who was providing sign language interpretation. Watch the above clip, and try not to smile as this man writhes like only he knows how. The video has barely been up 48 hours, and it’s already approaching 700,000 views on YouTube.

Dance, you smirking, belly-rubbing devil, you. Dance.
