Snoop Dogg Feat. Young Jeezy & E-40 – “My Fuccin House” Video

This track is three decades of Hip-Hop coming together with E-40 from the 80s, Snoop from the 90s, and Jeezy from the 2000s. On just one listen, Tha Doggfather snaps out of his lethargic routine to bring forth one of his most energetically charged “16’s” in recent memory, but on another it’s 40 Water who throws down several different flows with pinpoint accuracy to wreck the beat. And yet on a third spin the Snowman is determined not to let the two longstanding vets outdo him and spits an impressive yayo-laced verse that leaves his recent critics reeling.

E-40 also spoke on this collaboration in his Smoking Session, saying that its single potential was recognized upon completion and before the trio of artists could get tied up in their respective lives, they were called on to shoot the video. Keep in mind this was before the mp3 was leaked, and before the song was even mentioned to the public.

But even bigger, “My Fuccin House” is a larger assertion of how the elder statesman of the music should be interacting with the young blood. There’s no distinction between young and old here. There’s no generation gap or anything like that. It’s just a song with features like any other, nothing more, and absent of any hidden intentions. Each artist is himself, delivering a distinctive element from his own zone that sets him apart from the pack.
