That headline isn’t even close to true for Seahawks fans like myself, but I suspect it is for everyone who was hoping for a competitive game. Alas, it was Stephen Colbert who provided the only exciting ending on this night, as his Wonderful Pistachios spot was one of the few ads kept under wraps leading up to the big game (see the teaser in our Super Bowl commercial preview).
The spot began with an underwhelming segment that proved to be a setup for a great finale, as Colbert returned 30 seconds later to blow everyone’s mind. Even his eagle friend was taken aback. (It was the only time a sweet-ass bird rocking an obnoxious shade of green would flinch all evening.)
