Super Bowl LII Sandcrawler

Reading Big Sandy’s post this morning about the Super Bowl presentations, I couldn’t help but notice that Minnesota’s envisioned logo for Super Bowl LII looked familiar. Not because it resembles the Vikings’ new stadium design, which it does, but the logo also looks exactly like a Sandcrawler from Star Wars.

If anything, the Super Bowl logo looks more like a Sandcrawler than the stadium does. Episode VII is due out in 2015, so it’s not much of a reach to guess that either Episode VIII or Episode IX could be ready for theaters in time to do a massive Star Wars push with a giant wrap around the entire building for the 2018 Super Bowl.

Wait, what’s that? Star Wars is now owned by Disney which also owns ESPN? The transformation from stadium to Sandcrawler will be complete. Berman better start working on his “Utini!” now.
