The man who was caught on dash cam video violently assaulting Uber driver Edward Caban has now been identified as Ben Golden, a 32-year-old marketing executive for Taco Bell. Or former Taco Bell marketing executive, I should say, since once the news of his attack and subsequent arrest spread through the media like wildfire, the fast food chain was quick to remedy that situation, with the following statement:
“Given the behavior of the individual, it is clear he can no longer work for us. We have also offered and encouraged him to seek professional help.”
Whether or not Golden takes his former employer up on their offer remains to be seen, but it seems apparent that the individual in the video may have some serious anger issues. Let’s hope Caban is the last person this guy ever put his hands on.
