In this day and age, simply experiencing a meal is not enough. Much like the old saying goes about a tree falling in a forest, if you enjoy a fine meal but don’t Instagram, tweet, or post it on Facebook — did it ever really happen? Such was the inspiration for the subreddit “Shitty Food Porn,” which asks Redditors to submit their most vile, shameful, or humiliating meals and concoctions that they would normally only eat with the curtains closed and the lights off, safe under the cloak of internet anonymity.
Gone are the fancy filters, meticulously shot angles, and avant-garde lighting. This garbage doesn’t need it. Here are the some of the best worst out there, and as they say: Bon crappétit!
