If David Rapoza’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” portraits don’t impress you then you should get off the Internet because you’ve seen too much. Where the turtles from the cartoons we are most familiar with were lighthearted and brightly colored, these gritty, realistic Photoshop images give the series a more serious tone than I would have thought was possible. April looks stunning, Baxter looks terrifying and Leonardo looks like he’s about to tear us limb from limb. Only one turtle is remaining to complete the series, Raphael, and Rapoza indicates on his site he’s been saving the best for last, “Took me way too long but I’m sure Raph will go by super quick. I’ve been waiting through the whole series to do my Raph interpretation so I’m glad its finally happening!”
