The Guy Who Found Gadhafi Was Wearing A New York Yankees Cap, Has The Dictator’s Famed Golden Gun

I was kind of done with the whole Gadhafi being killed thing, but then the photo above from the AFP cross my radar.

Reports the BBC:

A fighter in Sirte has told the BBC his account of the reported capture. Mohammed, a young fighter in his 20s, wearing a blue T-shirt and a New York Yankees baseball cap, said he had found the colonel hiding in a hole in the ground in the city of Sirte. He told the BBC that the former Libyan leader said to him simply: “Don’t shoot”

The gold-plated gun in the photos above and below is said to be Gadhafi’s famed golden gun, which he is said to have carried everywhere. And here you probably thought that Yankees fan were insufferable enough as it was!

No word on whether or not the man wearing the Yankees cap was the person who shot Gadhafi or if the longtime Libyan dictator was wearing a Boston Red Sox cap at the time of his death.

Also, here’s video of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton receiving the news about Gadhafi on her Blackberry…
