‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Has Huge Midnight Showing, Drops Two More Clips

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is in theaters today, and it already grossed $25.25 million in U.S. theaters last night (the fifth-largest midnight showing). The midnight showings out-earned The Avengers ($18.7M) and Iron Man 3 ($15.6M), but The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is still tracking to earn around $172M for the weekend.

While it’s still timely, we’re posting the last two Hunger Games clips released by Lionsgate. The first shows wisdom dropper Jennifer Lawrence in the training room, shooting arrows at holographic cubes.

She hates these cubes!

We also get to see the fighting style of other tributes played by Jena Malone, Alan Ritchson, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn, and Sam Claflin. The second clip shows Elizabeth Banks giving a pep talk before an important party. Meh. Less of that, more cage matches.
