The Poop-Throwing Mayor Of San Marino, California Is In A Steaming Heap Of Trouble

When you’re in public office and you find yourself carrying around a bag of poo, you have to be very careful about where you’re going to put said poo. The trashcan is probably the most obvious choice, maybe even a post office box to give someone a task to do. The wrong choice is directly into someone’s yard or their walkway.

Mayor Dennis Kneier of San Marino, California did not heed this advice and now he’s got himself quite the pickle. From CBS Los Angeles:

“I’m the kind of guy that’s always picking up trash and I reached down and picked it up and I am walking down the street . . . and in a moment of stupidity, I guess I was tired of carrying it, I disposed of it on his walkway. It was a mistake,” he said.

Lao, who captured the incident on his home surveillance system, told CBS2 that he thinks it was retaliation because he opposes a neighborhood dog park at nearby Lacy Park.

The mayor said he’s written an apology to Lao, which was also published in the local newspaper.

“To think that what I did, which again I say was a lapse of judgement, had anything to do with how I feel or may feel in the future and he feels about a dog park is just so far from the truth I can’t believe it,” Kneier said.

It all fits together too perfectly for it just to be a coincidence. The only way is if Lao’s beef with the mayor is one of those one sided beefs, like the one I have with the Hershey Company or former Mets pitcher Oliver Perez. I’ll admit the latter is a bit off kilter because there’s no way a professional ballplayer is intentionally throwing games out of spite, but I’m pretty sure Hershey is writing sick messages to me on their packaging.
