Teenage boys can’t keep anything quiet. I’m pretty sure I once told all my high school friends about this wicked fart I cut. Now imagine trying to not spill the beans about being in a threesome with two teachers. But that’s how Rachel Respess and Shelley Dufresne, the two educators you may have heard a thing or 12 about, got caught, when a still-unnamed 16-year-old “[bragged] to other students about his relationship with the teachers.” And now he’s really, really sorry for what he did.
“He is really down about it right now,” the high school junior’s grandfather told MailOnline in an exclusive interview. “All boys that age want to brag about what they are doing. He didn’t expect it would come to this.”
“He feels really bad,” said the boy’s grandfather. “These women have families and he knows how terrible it is for them. He knows they will never be able to teach again and could very well go to prison. He just wishes the whole thing had never happened. It’s a shocking thing — a real shock for all of us — when you have teachers who should be educating doing this instead.” (Via)
In case you’re wondering, the age of consent in Louisiana is 17, but state law forbids a teacher from sleeping with one of their students until they’re at least 20. Anyway, Respess and Dufresne, who “was featured in a diet ad for xlr8fitness claiming she had lost 10 pounds in 75 days,” are currently out on bond and awaiting trial. They’re being charged with having carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

No. He shouldn’t be sorry. He’s underage. They were adults who had a level of authority over him. True, he enjoyed it, and he’s not going to be terribly traumatized over it (thank goodness) but these women should not be treated any differently than two men would be in this situation. Gender equality covers ALL bases, including crime.

All I got from this was the claim that a diet ad is proud of 10 pounds in 75 days…that’s like a pound a week…I could lose more than that by doing a single solitary push up in the morning. Guess that’s why they don’t make 5 minute abs.
I’m glad he bragged about it for two reasons: 1) he gets to brag about it (and hopefully not get other underage kids to try this) 2) those fucking adults need to go to jail for having sex with an underage kid who doesn’t have the life experience of an adult. The law is the law and I personally believe that every underage kid would love to sleep with a gorgeous adult; but they don’t have the knowledge to be in control of themselves or their emotions in a situation like that and can be taken advantage of.
I have a friend who took years of therapy to maintain an adult relationship because he had a bored, married, almost 30 year old start having sex with him when he was 15, which went on for a few years, and she led him to believe she would leave her husband for him. Until the therapy, he was really shitty to alot of the women he dated after age 18. I would have sent her ass to jail if I had caught her.
Of course the kid is super sorry. He’s a kid. He’s a good kid. He thinks he got them into trouble when in fact the adults got him and themselves into all kinds of trouble and should be apologizing to that kid for the rest of their lives. Ok, maybe one apology and then they leave him the forever fuck alone.
All those dudes who are praising that kid, just imagine the same case and change the gender of the three people involved in this case and then comment.

So, two 20 something women have sex with a 16 year old boy, and we react, like South Park says, with a ‘Nice’ comment.
If the same happened with a 16 year old girl and two 20 something men, even if they were super hot and ripped and Channing freaking Tatum, people would be /pissed/.
If it was two 20 something men and a 16 year old BOY, those teachers would be hanging from a damn tree.

16 year olds are not ready for sexual relationships with adults. Hell, most adults aren’t ready for sexual relationships with adults. I was 15, dating a 23 year old, and I was seriously taken advantage of in that situation in a number of ways. There’s a power dynamic that having money and a job, being older, being a legal adult, empowers in your relationship.
Was I permanently scarred by it? No. But because I was young, dumb and infatuated, I did things I would normally never consider doing because I wanted this man to like me.
I hope these women get the help they need, and the same for the boy.

I’ll bet. Remember how mad classmates got when some type of privilege was taken from everyone because of one kid who screwed it up?
