Bees? Beads. Bees! GOB Bluth-level mass confusion reigned when a swarm of “thousands” of bees invaded a picnic in Cerritos, Calif. Over 20 people were stung, and according to witnesses of the horror, those with long hair were specifically targeted by the angry bees searching for a victim. Three were hospitalized.

According to the New York Post, the bees came from an underground utility box (perhaps the West Coast hideout of the Candyman), then dispersed after completely ruining that quaint, family picnic. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt, and the report says that those hospitalized will make a full recovery.

Now that the facts are out of the way, let’s ask, “why?” Recently, South Carolina killed millions of bees with pesticides in an attempt to combat the Zika virus. Could the brethren of those killed have acted out in an attempt at revenge? Bees do operate under a hive mind, so perhaps they felt a disturbance in their force, then decided to take it out on the nearest possible humans. It’s as good an explanation as any, because no one wants to hear that thousands of bees are mobilizing to attack people at random. That’s true horror.

Let’s think about this whole situation while GOB discusses his honey business.
