The iPhone vs. Android debate is as contentious as ever, as the ability to get vehemently worked up about what kind of mobile device people prefer or don’t prefer makes us long for the days when the biggest source of product allegiance was Coke vs. Pepsi.
If this story out of Oklahoma is to be believed, however, iPhone vs. Android fever has reached an all time high, as two men allegedly got into a stabbing fight when their debate over who has the better phone reached an impasse early this morning.
According to Tulsa’a ABC 8, an anonymous man was found stumbling outside of an apartment building covered in blood, and when police arrived, they ascertained that he and his roommate had been drunkenly arguing over mobile phones.
Police say the two men broke beer bottles and stabbed each other with them. One of the men smashed a bottle over the back of the other man’s head.
But that is not the pièce de résistance of Tulsa’s ABC 8 story because this next line should easily win them a Pulitzer:
Police did not respond when our photographer asked which phone is better.
Investigative journalism! Sadly, I don’t feel like we can mark this one “case closed” until we have, for a fact, established which brand of mobile phone the responding officers prefer.
