Vaguely Menacing and Cheap, Just How We Like Our Robots

The moving coaster at right offering you a Coke is one of Lynxmotion’s hexagonal robots.
It’s hexagonal for two reasons: one, to remind you vaguely of a spider without reminding you of that godawful “Wild Wild West” movie. Two, because it allows the robot almost complete freedom of travel; instead of being oriented in one direction and needing to turn around, it’s already pointed towards where it needs to be.
Really, it’s a concept that needs to be seen, which is why we’ve included a video on the next slide. How much will you pay for your tiny, threatening arachno-bot? About $700.
