Watch Jay-Z Ride The Subway With An Adorable Old Lady Who Has No Idea Who He Is

In September, Jay-Z played a string of eight sold-out concerts that opened Brooklyn’s rusty Barclays Center, and a documentary crew was there to record the entire thing. The film’s called Where I’m From, and you can watch the entire thing on YouTube, but one scene particularly stands out: instead of taking the Bentley to his final show, Hova rode the R train, where he sat next to an adorable old lady who had no idea who he is.

“Are you famous?” Ellen (Grossman?) asks, perhaps playing it cool because she doesn’t want Jay-Z to know that she’s actually coming back from Nas’s place, where she spent the day…and night. They’re on-again, off-again, but she’s waiting until things are finalized before alerting the media, and especially J-Hova.

And here’s the whole doc. The Ellen exchange begins at 19:20.
