Did anyone see The Dark Knight Rises yesterday or today, and not get the Man of Steel trailer? The IMAX showing I was at mercifully went straight into the movie, disappointing the approximately 0 people who were only there to see a snippet of Zack Snyder’s Terrence Malick-aping Superman movie (produced by Christopher Nolan). Just as well because there’s very little to glean from the teaser trailer, which was just officially released online. You see Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Superman’s adoptive father, and Henry Cavill, who plays the Man of Steel, working on a fishing boat. Also — SPOILER — Superman flies. WE DEMAND MORE ZOD.
I hope the trailer’s so vague because Man of Steel is actually the totally necessary sequel to Sucker Punch. I still have so many questions about sh*tty covers of “Army of Me” and rape.
