When Bears Hibernate, They Develop a Healing Factor

Turns out that we’re even more boned than we thought, when it comes to bears. Not only are they tool users, but apparently, when they hibernate, they develop a healing factor.

There’s really no other way to describe it: the bear’s body unleashes an immune attack while hibernating that not only kills any infection it gets from projectile wounds or bite wounds from other animals, it also heals the wound without so much as a scar.

So essentially, if you try to kill a bear and you fail, there’s a distinct possibility it will go to sleep for a few months, wake up, defeat a ninja clan, and then show up at your front door, ready to kill your ass. Possibly with tools.

We’re so boned.
