The Winter Classic Looked Amazing As Expected

A lot of sports go down during the 365 day period that we simple folk refer to as a year, but for my money, there’s no cooler game than the NHL’s Winter Classic. Get it? Cooler? Because it’s cold? And they said that Peter King is the Sportswriter of the Year. Anywho, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in a very exciting Winter Classic shootout yesterday in front of more than 105,000 people at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I’d have a hard time disagreeing with anyone who called this the most amazing sporting event of the year.

I’ve lived in Florida for (too) many years, so I’m used to a certain temperature, so looking at these pictures of hockey fans in the coldest of temperatures makes me long for a nice chair on the beach behind a meth lab. But kudos nonetheless to the maniacs who made it out to this year’s Winter Classic, because the rest of us have to settle for galleries like this one.
