Wisconsin’s Scott Walker Is The Latest Candidate To Join The Republican Race

The common analogy that most people are making when it comes to the race for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination is that of a clown car. Except instead of a tiny, two-door roller skate with an engine, everyone from Donald Trump to Ben Carson is squeezing into a turbo-charged, monster Hummer limousine that gets roughly .00000001 miles to the gallon. After all, someone’s gotta keep Chris Christie’s mini fridge running, and that sucker won’t just plug into the cigarette lighter. And now Scott Walker has made that car even more crowded than it already was.

The Wisconsin governor is the 15th Republican to declare his candidacy and have his name added to the major polls, but if you’re counting all of the random people who think they have a shot at taking on Hillary Clinton in 2016, that number is closer to 40. Hey, it’s about time people start taking Brooks Cullison more seriously. For more on Walker’s announcement, we turn to anchors Tom Storey and Briana Lane in today’s episode of The Desk.
