Sometimes, people do things in public that trap others into watching them for extended periods of time regardless of their desire to do so. Sometimes those people are dancers doing their thing in the middle of a crowded mall. And sometimes, citizens get fed up and can’t just stand idly by anymore. Like this woman, who just doesn’t have any time for choreographed dancing when she’s trying to get to a sale.
This may look like a clip from Broad City, but that woman in front isn’t Abbi Jacobson and this isn’t staged. Well, the dancing might be, but the woman who doesn’t have time for any of that foolishness is real as hell. She’s just trying to get her shopping done and her day at the mall doesn’t include a choreographed dance routine. Sure, she could have walked around or waited until these ladies were finished. But she didn’t. And that’s what makes her a real hero. Plus, that withering stare she gives the dancers? That can’t be taught.
According to Reddit, where this GIF was originally posted, the location of this amazing incident is at a Chilean mall, so if you recognize the woman (she’s got to be someone’s mom) taking a stand for all of us who have been held hostage by a flash mob/dance routine in a public place, please give her a hug. And then ask her to never change.
